Circulating Water Makeup Treatment

Florida Power & Light's (FP&L) new 2,400 MW combined cycle gas turbine plant, West County Energy Center, would require 14,000 gpm of softened water. Unfortunately, water supplies in the area were limited and they would be required to instantaneously switch to brackish well water from the Florida Aquifer when surface water was not available.
