Expertune has now made available the source code for an industrial PID control algorithm. The algorithm incorporates industrially hardened technology similar to that used within the major DCS systems. The algorithm has robust anti-reset-windup, solid initialization, bumpless transfer, and full alarming and over-ranging. A PV filter is automatically applied to the derivative action to reduce controller output jitteriness. Separate C, C++, OCX code modules are included. Use the modules in:
•Imbedded micro-controllers (C code)
•NT, Unix based systems and some micro-controllers (C++ code)
•NT or Windows 2000 based systems (OCX)
Users have a royalty-free license for redistributing the object code within their system.
