10.10.13 -- Solar Plant Keeps Producing Electricity After Sun Goes Down
Net vs. Gross/Wet vs. Dry Oxygen Measurements
The two methods of measuring oxygen produce different results. In situ oxygen analyzers measure oxygen content on a net/wet basis. Portable oxygen analyzers provide oxygen measurements on a gross/dry basis. If oxygen measurements from in situ analyzers are higher than readings from portable analyzers, then it's likely a problem exists. Click here to find out how to verify the accuracy of both the portable and in situ analyzers.
Liqui-Cel Membrane Contactors have a long history of improving a variety of water treatment systems by adding and/or removing dissolved gasses. Liqui-Cel Contactors were recently selected to be used in a municipal environment to improve water distribution efficiency while reducing capital and operating costs.
The MIOX Vault on-site generator is designed for high efficiency, low lifecycle cost, durability, and reliability. The self-cleaning Vault with self-adjusting flow control is virtually maintenance free. With over 40 percent improved salt and energy efficiencies and a new self-cleaning system, the Vault is built for cost-effective, problem-free operation.
Particulate matter (PM) in flue gas can exhibit highly variable and dynamic characteristics that are dependent on plant fuels, processes, and control parameters. The main characteristics of interest are mass concentration, particle size, defined by the aerodynamic diameter of the particle, and chemical composition, which relates to the eventual toxicity of the particulate matter in the ambient air outside the stack.
