Coen Company, Inc. patented flame shield designed for uniform heat distribution, the side-fired duct burner is capable of combination gas or oil firing. The system offers external oil atomizers that can be removed and cleaned without turbine or boiler shutdown. Turbine Exhaust Gas (TEG) is supplied to the windbox by individual ducts taking a slipstream of TEG upstream of the burner. The oil atomizer is capable of firing a range of fuels from Naphtha to No. 6 fuel oil.
