Power Distribution, Inc. Recognized By Frost & Sullivan

Boston, MA — Frost & Sullivan will present Power Distribution, Inc. (PDI) with the 2005 Customer Value Enhancement Award at tonight's third annual Customer Value Enhancement Awards Banquet for its accomplishments in the power distribution unit and static transfer switch markets.

"PDI has shown a considerable growth in revenues since 2004 owing to a strategy of forging alliances with general contractors, consultants, and engineering firms, that was initiated over the last three years," says Frost & Sullivan industry analyst Vishal Sapru. "The company's main focus has been on research and development, product enhancement, increasing manufacturing capacity, and a continued effort toward effective strategies for higher growth."

In addition to a high-quality product line and quick-response service, PDI operates a comprehensive customer feedback process, which has enabled it to expand its base of satisfied customers by providing increased value. PDI offers order inquiries and emergency assistance, technical and application product support, warranties, power protection programs, and service upgrades and products. It has also made service rates, product upgrades, and spare part pricing affordable for customers.

PDI's commitment to quality products that meet customer requirements has developed into giving customers a platform to discuss their needs and desires for future upgrades and next-generation products. By keeping track of the technology advancements as well as customer needs, PDI has shown tremendous creativity in product innovation specifically designed with the customer in mind.

In 2004, PDI introduced four products including the global maintenance bypass cabinet, the new version of branch circuit monitoring, and two new versions of remote power panels. It further plans to introduce a new switch in the coming months, which is expected to enjoy considerable market presence.

"PDI has continued to strengthen its position in the key verticals such as financial institutions, banking and insurance, telecommunication, and the federal government and has experienced much stronger growth than many of its competitors," says Sapru.

In line with this growth, the company has actively started reaching out to customers and spending on advertising to keep potential customers informed about the company and the services it offers. This is a huge step that PDI has taken from its earlier marketing strategies and as stated by Dave Mulholland, Vice President, PDI, "We were the best kept secret in the industry three to four years ago". This change has led to an increase in PDI's customer base, which in turn has boosted revenues. PDI has also entered into a strategic marketing alliance with Rightline a rack cabinet manufacturer.

Leading edge technology, combined with strong and dedicated customer service and support capabilities will ensure that PDI remains at the forefront of the power distribution unit market in the future. Being a North American company, PDI is actively pursuing the path to becoming an international competitor with a growing presence in Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Brazil.

In recognition of its ongoing commitment toward excellence in technology and customer value, Frost & Sullivan is proud to award PDI with the 2005 Power Distribution Unit and Static Transfer Switch Customer Value Enhancement Award.

Frost & Sullivan presents the CVE Award to the company that has demonstrated the ability to expand its customer base, while maintaining its existing installed base, with more innovative value creation and enhancement strategies than competitors. The award lauds successful sales entry, customer acquisition and service strategies, and the degree to which they have met customers' stated needs and requirements.

Held in Boston, Frost & Sullivan's Customer Value Enhancement Awards Banquet honors world-class companies for their outstanding performance and achievements in customer care. An annual event, the banquet recognizes innovative developments that will significantly improve customer interaction and contribute to customer satisfaction.
