Renew Power Orders 100.80 MW Of Suzlon's Latest S111 Turbines With 120m Hub Height

  • Installation of 48 units of 2.1 MW, S111 120m Wind Turbine Generator(WTG)
  • Project scheduled for completion in Madhya Pradesh by March 2018

Suzlon Group, one of the leading global renewable energy solutions providers in the world, has won a fifth successive order from ReNew Power Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (“ReNew Power”) for its 100.80 MW wind power project. Suzlon will install 48 units of their latest S111 120m wind turbine generators (WTG) with a capacity of 2.1MW in ReNew Power’s Limbwas project in Madhya Pradesh.

Suzlon will provide a comprehensive range of services including operation and maintenance services and dedicated life-cycle asset management services for an initial period of 10 years. This turnkey project for Suzlon is scheduled to be completed by March 2018. The project has the potential to provide power to over 54,000 households and reduce 0.20 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum.

With this order, Suzlon’s portfolio with ReNew Power would exceed more than 600 MW spanning across the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

The S11X 2.1 MW platform features the time tested Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) technology which is designed to optimally harness available wind resources. It not only delivers higher energy yield, but also offers higher return on investment for customers.
