FW MurphyS730S programmable generator controller is designed to eliminate the need for service engineers to make weekly or monthly site visits. The controller monitors generators on-site and can convey relevant information to a computer where a single operator can run service tests on a number of sets. Using a designated software program along with the AS730S allows the operator to contact a generator requiring service at a remote location. The system can look at the parameters, download the information, produce a printout, and start the generator in three minutes, the company claims. A timer enables the generators to run for one hour after the check, allowing the operator to contact other generators to complete checks.

This unit has the ability to call operators when a problem such as a shutdown or warning occurs. Programmable inputs and outputs are also available, as well as applications including peak shaving.
