Marsh-McBirney, Inc. has introduced an updated version of the original Flo-Tote Portable Flowmeter that is primarily used to measure flow in sewer applications for EPA permitting requirements, inflow and infiltration studies, billing purposes, combined sewer overflow monitoring, and sewer system evaluations, as well as other open channel applications. New features of Flo-Tote II include: non-fouling, more robust sensor that virtually eliminates fouling, Auto-Cal feature that eliminates the need for site calibration in most cases, Q-Stick band/sensor insertion tool for no-manhole-entry installations, ATC level feature that compensates for variations in temperature, wide sensor installation bands for increased accuracy in debris laden flows, and certified intrinsically safe models. Data retrieval is accomplished via a laptop computer that operates with Flo-Ware software packages.
