Plasma Spray
In contrast to HVOF, these coating particules have lower kinetic energy, but the extremely high temperature of the plasma melts or significantly softens even ceramics to provide a well bonded continuous surface Typical materials sprayed by the plasma system include MCrAIY, bronze, nickel aluminide, zirconia and magnesia-zirconia. With our extension gun, we are able to spray inside confined spaces to a distance of 36". Thermal barriers are commonly done by this method. Our redesigned equipment, combined with our plasma acceleration module causing particles to increase in speed, provides superb results nearly matching HVOF-type coating density.
