Pick-a-Port Modular Switch

VERSITRON, Inc. presents the ultimate in a flexible network device with its new S71090 "Pick-a-Port" managed modular switch. The 3-slot switch accepts a variety of copper and fiber media "modules" including 8-port 10/100 UTP, 8-port FX for either multimode or singlemode fiber, single port 1000Base UTP, and single port 1000Base fiber. The modular design of the S71090 permits using various combinations of copper and fiber links within a single network device, thereby reducing costs while providing easy changes or upgrades to the network. A choice of RJ-45, ST, or SC connectors are available. Distances of 15 km and speeds of 1000 mbps can be accommodated.

In addition, the S71090 offers both web-based and SNMP in-band management capability. The switch also supports IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol as well as port trunking and load sharing for high bandwidth links between switches. The S71090 is also 19 inch rack-mountable and carries a lifetime warranty.
