Monitor Labs, Inc.odel 550 opacity/dust monitor features an electronically modulated, intensity-controlled, solid state light emitting diode (LED) to ensure stable operation without interference from sunlight or room lights. The optical head and retroreflector are built of heavy gauge aluminum and finished with acid-resistant enamel paint. The rugged design and low heat generation allows operation over a range of ambient temperatures from –40°F to +150°F. The unit is built to withstand hostile environments associated with outdoor industrial applications. The stack control module provides all controls and displays needed to setup and calibrate the instrument. This digital design system continuously measures the zero and span references in addition to the stack opacity.
