Couplant-free, global examinations of piping, furnace tubes, and vessels detect corrosion in areas where other conventional NDE methods are unattainable. The Magna-Scan system inspects long distances of pipe, detecting defects such as corrosion, erosion, weld defects, pitting and cracking. Little or no surface preparation is required. Pipe support inspections are performed with the piping on-stream without having to lift the pipe from the support areas. Implementing an inspection program that uses Magna-Tec's state-of-the-art technology can identify internal and external defective areas of piping that could cause emergency shutdowns.
