Green Diesel Technology is a new technology that utilizes the benefits of a catalyzed particulate filter and low-sulfur fuel in combination with an exclusive engine performance design that lowers the emissions and odor of diesel-powered buses and trucks. The diesel engine combustion is optimized to lower NOx emissions by approximately 25%. A catalyzed particulate filter, which replaces the muffler, is employed to reduce gaseous hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and particulate emissions, as well as to eliminate odor and attenuate sound emissions. Finally, the vehicle is fueled with low-sulfur fuel (less than 15 parts per million sulfur) to enable the use of the after-treatment technology. The technology can also be retrofitted on trucks or buses with International DT466 engines with serial number greater than 1194039 and on International T444E engines with serial number greater than 843990.
