Domosys CorporationmoMeter Evaluation Kit contains a DomoMeter 240 module, company PC Software and a CECom power line modem. This ensemble is designed to allow rapid evaluation of the capabilities of the module on 240V appliances, such as enabling time-of-use pricing strategies.

The module is a compact module with 2-way power line communication technology. It controls and monitors individual 240VAC residential appliances. Power line communication is ensured by the high-performance PL-One transceiver. The system implements the CEBus Standard and the Home Plug & Play(TM) Specification to guarantee interoperability with other network products that have adopted these standards.

This system provides utilities and their customers with improved grid management, energy savings, appliance protection, appliance monitoring, remote load shedding, expanded home automation and the ability to respond to time-of-day energy pricing signals sent over the home AC power lines. It uses technology and market research from the utility's Intelligent Link Project, a pilot residential energy management program. The device uses power line transceiver technology and can be effective in controlling and monitoring appliances such as electric water heaters, clothes dryers, central heating and other 240V appliances in the home. It runs on Windows 95/98/NT operating systems.
