Isotrol Adds A New Wind Power Plant In Spain

Isotrol adds a new wind plant to its portfolio and participates in one of the first repowering projects in Spain. This is the Malpica wind farm, located on the Costa da Morte of A Coruña.

Malpica is currently undergoing a process of repowering with the withdrawal of the 69 wind turbines that make up the park and the replacement by another seven more modern, 2.3 megawatts each, which will maintain the current power of the plant doubling the energy generated.

Within the modernization process, Isotrol will be responsible for the new connection of the wind farm and its substation to the delegated office and the control center. An activity that will be developed through the CER Operation Manager solution, designed for the centralized management and exploitation of renewable portfolios.

This contract is for Isotrol a consolidation of the activity developed with Enerfín, managing company of the wind farm of Malpica, which since 2010 has been entrusted with Isotrol and its CER system for the centralized management of more than 920 MW wind farms located in Spain, Brazil and Canada .

The Malpica wind power plant, with an installed capacity of 16.6 MW and an estimated production of 66 GWh per year, will produce enough power to supply more than 15,000 homes.
