N/AElectric 3.0 succeeds the computerized DPA/G interface software package as the company's full-featured electric distribution GIS integration tool. Users can work with CDI 3.11, 4.0 and 5.0 file formats, simultaneously import both substation and feeder models, load equipment data and define data validation parameters. The system's workspace is designed to help users manage data, understand a system completely and perform GIS integration with ease. Additionally, this package allows users to perform extensive data validation, making the software a powerful tool for assuring that the GIS data is appropriate for the system model.
The system offers Access '97 relational database accessibility to improve model building and maintenance times, and to further model integration with other data sources. This database functionality also allows users to write custom applications and forms that manipulate the data.
The software is available on CD-ROM for systems running Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0. Both the technical documentation and user's manual are located on the CD.
