The Caterpillar Generator Set Start Module provides up to 1,725 cold cranking amps at 24 VDC to assist and backup a generator set's starting batteries. Redundant starting power is supplied directly from the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) output, providing a healthy and continuous power source that does not require replacement. It also features diode coupling, allowing for battery paralleling and the best source selection, with auto resetting thermal protection and an AC disconnect.
