Mee Fog systems are used for a wide variety of applications including humidification of textile mills and industrial plants. According to the manufacturer, in the textiles, knitting, and weaving industries, the systems can help maintain fiber moisture content, increase fiber tensile strength, reduce yarn breakage, control lint and cotton fly, and reduce static electricity problems.

The system uses normal tap water and atomizes it into billions of super-small fog droplets. Atomization is accomplished through the use of high-pressure pumps and special fog nozzles. Fog droplets can be produced in sizes ranging from 5 to 50 µm. In addition, the design of a particular system is determined based on the requirements of the application. The manufacturer states that the fog can be used in the most moisture sensitive of applications, without causing wetting of machines or material.

System technology offers low energy consumption—it is said to use less than 3% of the energy required by compressed-air type systems and less than 1% of the energy required by steam type systems. The manufacturer states that their engineers can assist consumers with return-on-investment calculations for their particular application.
