Electrodeionisation (EDI) Systems Brochure

Two separation technologies, membranes and ion exchange, are combined into one sealed, self-contained unit. The primary use of EDI has focused on RO permeate polishing. This technology is widely used in industry as a final polisher replacing traditional ion exchange units which required chemical regeneration using base and acid reagents.

SUEZ systems incorporate EDI technology which is a combination of flat sheet membranes and ion exchange resin. A combination of resin and electrical driving force allows this technology to produce very high purity water for industrial applications. Modular design and process specific criteria allows the greatest flexibility in providing skids that industry requires for the production of high purity water used in their facilities.
