Computational Systems, Inc., a leading developer and producer of predictive maintenance hardware and software, unveiled PD-PdM, Power Delivery Predictive Maintenance for Power Delivery Equipment, in efforts to reduce O & M expense budgets and the increasing demands for higher reliability.

As part of CSI's Maintenance & Diagnostic organization, the PD-PdM group utilizes a portfolio of integrated technologies to provide an effective and efficient diagnostic and results-oriented condition monitoring program for power delivery equipment maintenance.

PdM is performed in an "energized" mode, eliminating costly shutdowns, It uses a technique of integrated multiple technologies, with a single crew collecting data under consistent operating and environmental conditions, with the individual results integrated to provide a comprehensive look at your substation's health. This is able to be done at a much lower cost than current maintenance programs which provides the means to reduce O & M budgets while increasing reliability.

M & D, originally a research and development provider for the Electric Power Research Institute, is now a division of CSI Services. M & D personnel currently manage EPRI's tailored collaboration programs in the substation area and also perform specific maintenance management consulting assignments for utility, industrial, government, and commercial clients,

Computational Systems Inc., based in Knoxville, TN, is the world's leading designer, producer, and marketer of condition-monitoring products and service for large, continuous process manufacturers and utilities
