In view of the statutory regulations, the water used for cooling various heat sources is treated in a manner which ensures compliance with the following criteria: optimal heat transfer, minimum rate of corrosion, no biological growth, prevention of deposits such as lime, gypsum as well as suspended and organic matter, etc.

Appropriate treatment of the cooling medium means a longer service life of the system and optimal economic operation for the operator compared to the costs for systems without water treatment because the necessary make-up water quantity is minimized and the operating costs are reduced.
