Monitor Labs, Inc.odel 300L backscatter particulate monitor is engineered to provide reliable, continuous, non-extractive particulate monitoring for the utility, paper, pulp, chemical, and petrochemical industries. This unit features an optical head assembly housed in a rugged aluminum casting, with O-ring seals and stainless steel hardware to assure stability. All machined parts are alodined and finished with acid-resistant, backed enamel paint.
The system uses a laser emitting diode that is electronically modulated at 2400Hz. It can be set up to detect particulates over an extended path for more representative data. The unit features a 0.25 hp blower with air filter to reduce window dirt buildup. The monitor does not use a retroreflector and does not require accurate alignment across the stack and duct. A calibration kit and calibration density filters are used to check calibration.
