American Electric Power Seeks Bids For Eastern Coal

Columbus, Ohio - American Electric Power is seeking offers for the supply of high Btu, mid-sulfur coal, delivered by rail or barge, to one or more of its generating stations.

AEP is seeking spot proposals for a requirements agreement, for up to 60,000 tons of coal per month, with deliveries beginning in January 2013 and ending in December 2013. Proposals with alternative terms will be accepted. Accepted bids will be at AEP’s discretion.

Proposal packages must be received by AEP no later than 5 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012. Proposals can be submitted by e-mail to coalrfp@aep.com, by fax to (614) 583-1619 (Attn.
