Designed to meet global OEM and end-user demands for space savings, cost efficiency and reliability, PowerFlex 70 AC
Designed to meet global OEM and end-user demands for space savings, cost efficiency and reliability, PowerFlex 70 AC drives provide versatile, application-configurable features such as volts-per-hertz or sensorless vector control in a compact panel mount package of .37 kW (0.5 hp) to 15 kW (20 hp). The drives feature a flexible, compact form factor and meet world power ratings, packaging requirements and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards for out-of-the-box performance. Drive ratings include CSA/cUL Certified, UL-Listed, C-Tick, CE-Marked, EMC (EN61800-3), and Low-Voltage (EN60204-1 and EN50178). The main control board on the unit includes built-in digital and analog I/O. Standard 24V I/O includes six digital inputs, two relay inputs, two analog inputs and one analog output. A standard integral dynamic brake, in the form of a seventh insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) provides both internal and external dynamic braking resistors.

The PowerFlex 70 handles varying load requirements common in material handling applications such as packaging and bottling lines. It provides precise flow control in pump, fan and blower systems, such as paint booths, clean rooms and oil pipelines. The sensorless vector control handles constant-torque applications, including mixers, extruders and centrifuges, that require rated torque from zero to full speed. The unit also features human interface modules (HIMs) and internal communications.
