Advantages

  • No couplant required
  • No magnets
  • Minimal floor preparation
  • Tests through coatings
  • Less than 30 lbs.(13.6Kg)
  • Scanning speed of 10 to 15 feet (3 - 4.5m) per minute
  • No blind spots
  • Falcon Sr. contains 64 sensors (32 channels)
  • Falcon Jr. contains 16 sensors (16 channels)
  • LED alarm array
  • Hand scanner (Falcon Jr.) for hard to reach places
  • Real time data display with Advanced Signal Processing
  • High resolution color graphics with 3-D display
  • Tests ferrous materials as well as non-ferrous materials such as stainless and aluminum.

    Inspection Procedure

  • Gain access through standard size manway
  • Map out tank floor by numbering and measuring each plate in the storage tank
  • Select internal functions such as gain and frequency to fit the specifications of the plates in the storage tanks
  • Position the scanner on a plate and move along the length of the plate at a constant rate
  • View data in real time on the PC screen through the innovative "TANK 32" software package
  • Mark any flaw indications seen by software or by LED alarm indicators and, if needed, the data can be stored for later verification
  • Continue scanning until entire storage tank floor has been inspected
  • Quantify the flaws with the "TANK 32" software
  • Report results in percent of wall loss or floor remaining (mm or inches)
  • Present a final report in full color showing flaw location and depth
