A True Condenser Tube Restoration At A Power Plant By Peter Tallman - CTI Industries, Inc.; Jose Manuel Armesto Gomez - Endesa; and Fernando Millan - Sirem
Endesa's Compostilla Power Plant is located in Ponferrada (León), Spain, commissioned in 1964. It is a coal-fired power plant with a capacity of 1292 megawatts spread across five turbines, which are a combination of Westinghouse and Mitsubishi. The cooling water for the steam condenser is a closed loop system, coming from a cooling tower with water from a local reservoir in units 4 and 5, and open loop in 1, 2, and 3.
With decades of experience in the power industry, Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies is your key partner to develop and implement the most reliable water and wastewater treatment systems, providing an extensive range of technologies and services adapted to the power industry's requirements.
Dissolved oxygen is a leading source of corrosion in water systems. The Korean Electric Power Institute (KEPRI) has installed Liqui-Cel Membrane Contactors in the Wolsung nuclear power plant in South Korea. The membranes have been in operation since 2000 and have successfully met the rigorous demands of the nuclear power industry.
