CH2M HILL Selected For EPC Work At PacifiCorp's Wyodak Power Plant: AQCS Equipment Installation Will Result In Emission Reductions

CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, procurement, construction, and operations firm, recently announced it has been selected by PacifiCorp as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for installation of new emission control equipment at its 365-megawatt coal-fueled Wyodak power plant, located near Gillette, Wyoming.

This equipment, combined with the existing emissions control equipment, will enable this power generating unit to reduce sulfur dioxide and particulate matter emissions by replacing the existing electrostatic precipitator and channeling emissions through a pulse jet fabric filter, also known as a baghouse. The project will also include new duct work and new induced draft fans. Most of the work on the project will take place over the next 24 months. Completion of duct work tie-ins and other critical components of the upgrade is scheduled for the first quarter of 2011.
